Hi all
Basically, I believe this is one of those side bets which may be beatable...
For all of you who don't know how this side bet works, this is how:
A player will receive a bonus if they score a certain pair in a specific suit or colour. The bet is made before the beginning of a round and its limits are set by each table (which are usually around half the maximum bet of the table).
The pay-offs are:
25:1 for any suited pair
12:1 for any same coloured pair
6:1 for a mixed coloured pair
Now, even though pairs aren't so common, and these pay-offs are obviously ridiculous, can we begin to bet on this side-bet if we have not seen a pair in such a long time? Unfortunately, I can't find the exact probabilities for each bonus anywhere, as usually they give the numbers for single deck only.
Say a pair occurs at every x amount of hands. If x+1 hands is reached, should we bet on the side-bet?
Thanks... Hope to see replies!
