Cashing in, at least when winning, used to be my favorite part. I once spent three hours cashing a payroll check at the issuing bank, so this phenomenon is not just about casinos. It is your money. Patience and good attitude will usually gain the correct results without drawing unneeded attention.

Other Games to Reduce Heat

One of the earliest comps I received was in a casino just off the Las Vegas Strip. Small by Strip standards, it was still reasonably sized by world standards. As they enjoyed a fair amount of walk-in traffic from the Strip, they stuffed the casino to the gills with tables — so tightly, that standing at third base at a Blackjack table, my rear-end was bumping into a Craps table. So, while the dealer was shuffling, I placed a bet on the line. I continued to make an occasional small Craps bet while playing Blackjack. The casino loved me and completely ignored my Blackjack action. In their mind, they had a gambler willing to throw his money away at two games at once.
