Bryce Carlson

Omega II – An advanced, Level II, balanced strategy similar to Canfield Master and developed by Bryce Carlson, a professional player. Omega II comes in two versions: Basic Omega II and Advanced Omega II (AOII). The Basic version has only two index values for simplicity. The advanced version has many indexes with different values. An ace side count improves betting correlation when used to a remarkable .99, but this substantially increases difficulty. Many indexes in the book are risk-averse. (Risk-averse indexes are described on page 533.) This count was popular with many pros in the ’90s. However, less complex strategies are now in vogue. It can be found in Bryce Carlson’s Blackjack for Blood, CompuStar Press, 1992, rev. 1994. (Now published by Pi Yee Press.)

Richard Canfield’s proprietary Master Count has the same tag values as the Omega II Count.
