in the shoe (not in the tray) depending on your settings. At the end, you will receive a score based on speed and accuracy. As with the other drills, you will want to increase the speed as you improve in accuracy.

True Count Conversion Drill

The Discard Tray Drills also include two true count drills. The first, TC Conversion, will display the running count and number of decks, and you will respond with the true count. The second, TC Conv. & Decks, is the same, except that you will not be told the remaining decks. You will need to estimate that from looking at the tray and use that number to calculate the true count. Thus, you will be tested on both deck estimation and true count calculation at once.

True Count Counting Drill

Go back to the Counting Drills, and you will find a True Count option. When this is selected, you will be dealt cards and periodically a discard tray will be displayed. You must calculate the running count as you see the cards dealt, determine the remaining decks from the tray, and then calculate and enter the correct true count. This drill brings together the skills of counting cards (running count), deck estimation, and true count calculation.

Practice Game

Once you have had your fill of the drills, you play the game. This brings together all of these skills at once:

Ø  Counting cards (running count)

Ø  Deck estimation

Ø  True count calculation

Ø  Betting decisions

Ø  Playing decisions, basic and index plays

Ø  Catching dealer errors

You will be tested on all skills. This sounds like a lot of work, and it is. However, it becomes natural with practice.
