Custom True Count Calculation

This screen provides for specification of unusual methods of calculating True Counts. You can divide the remaining cards into as many sections as you wish and assign each section a different multiplier or divisor. You can even use unusual methods like normalizing to 100 cards and multiplying to obtain a TC. The table will also be used for Betting, Insurance and Ace side counts.

Calculation Type

The first step is to set the Calculation Type. Nearly all books call for Divide. This means that you divide the running count by the remaining number of decks, half-decks, or quarter decks. Multiply is also allowed. This provides the ability to multiply the RC by specified numbers depending on remaining cards. Some people find this method easier, particularly for hand-held games.

Rows

Next, you need to set the number of separate deck sections that you wish to use. Rows will appear in the table according to this parameter.

Calculation Table

Now you need to fill in the table. In the first column, set the remaining decks for each section. As you do this, the ranges will appear both as fractions of a deck and exact cards remaining. This makes it easy to determine exactly which divisors or multipliers will be used depending on the exact number of remaining cards. Once you have filled out the first column, fill out the divisors or multipliers in the last column. Note: Both columns can be fractional.

Save

You do not need to hit Save for the table to take effect. But, you can use Save to save tables in multiple files for later use.

Load

You can also load a previously saved table.
