Drills General Options

The options on this page affect the various drills as follows:

Flashcard Drills

Use this section to set keyboard shortcuts for the Flashcard drills. The easiest method of indicating hit or stand is by scratching the screen with the mouse. But, for those that do not like mice, you can provide keyboard keys.

Counting and Full Table Drills

There are several methods of responding to these drills:

Ø Mouse - This is the standard method. Use the mouse to click on the supplied button matrix.

Ø Numeric Input - with this method, a box appears that allows you to enter a numeric response followed by an Enter.

Ø NumPad - Using this method, nine possible responses are presented in a square. Hit the corresponding key in the KeyPad to respond. NumLock will be automatically turned on.

Ø Custom Keys - Here, you can request three to six possible responses to each test. Specify three to six keys that correspond to the responses.

Drill Count Down

Here you can specify a 0-5 second countdown at the start of every drill to get ready for the tests.

Rating Calculation

At the end of every drill, a Rating is calculated based on your speed and accuracy. This control can be used to adjust the balance between the two. Move it to the right to indicate that accuracy is more important than speed. Note: This is a relative rating only. It only has meaning compared to a test with exactly the same parameters. You can use this to indicate your progress over time by looking at the charts. Charts can be called by clicking on CHARTS on the CVDrills main screen or selecting HISTORY - GRAPHS.
