Ø  Three strategy tables are provided for each combination: REKO, The FELT Count and Hi-Lo. REKO uses two basic strategies as described in the REKO chapter. FELT uses 14 compromise indexes (16 for  single-deck) and 4 surrender indexes, and Hi-Lo uses the Sweet 16 and Fab 4 (most useful indexes) from Professional Blackjack. REKO-F and FELT-F tables are not included.

Ø  SCORE, as defined on page 99, is provided as the main indicator of the strength of a set of conditions.

Ø  CODE stands for Color Oriented Desirability Evaluation. Or you can make up any other acronym you wish — I just wanted it to spell out CODE. This is a color-coded rating of a game based upon SCORE as follows:

·         Red – 0 to 20

·         Amber – 20.01-30

·         Blue – 30.01-50

·         Green – Above 50

Ø  In each table, seven penetrations are provided. For example, in the sample above, 4.5/6 means that 4.5 out of 6 decks are dealt. For double-deck, 78/104 means 78 cards out of 104 cards are dealt. Note: Actually more cards are dealt to finish out the round.

Ø  For each penetration, three bet spreads are provided.

Ø  EV is the advantage the player enjoys over the house.

Ø  For each bet spread, three different combinations of risk and bankroll are provided. To calculate the win rate, we need to know the unit size. To calculate the correct unit size, we need to know the size of the player’s bankroll and the player’s desired risk of losing that bankroll. Now we would all like to have a zero risk. But the only way to enjoy a risk of zero is to either have an infinite bankroll, or a unit size of zero. So we must compromise between the amount bet and the risk we are willing to take. This can vary enormously by player. A professional will require a very low risk — say 0.25% of losing his bankroll. He will also require a large bankroll to obtain this low level of risk. A hobby player may have a much smaller bankroll and larger
