Practice Game

I have always considered the game in Casino Vérité Blackjack as a drill. It is a drill that forces you to handle all aspects of play at once. To get the most out of the game, ignore your bankroll. Whether or not you win is meaningless when practicing. What matters is your accuracy rate.

Errors

Ø  As you play, error screens will pop up as in the drills to describe the error. The calculated cost of errors will take into account the amount you bet.

Ø  Betting errors do not apply to Basic Strategy since there is no betting strategy with BS.

Ø  All errors are logged in the same place as drill errors. Select History then Error Logs to view the logs.

Ø  Moving the cursor over the Errors button on the control bar at the bottom of the screen will pop up a summary of your play errors and betting errors.

Ø  You can also display detailed error summaries from the History menu — Error Tables and Error Costs.

Ø  If you have a wide-screen monitor, you can click View Dynamic Stats to place an additional window on the screen that will chart your error rates.

Ø  From the menu, View then Speeds Window allows control of all speeds. Speed is very important. You should increase the speeds gradually, eventually to speeds far greater than what you will experience in a casino. This will give you extra time in the casino to handle distractions.

Ø  When you return to the drills, your errors will be remembered and you can ask the Flashcard drills to drill you on your errors by selecting the Play Errors option.

Biases

A problem with games is that unusual hands do not occur often enough in normal play. This is solved with the Deck Bias features. From the menu, select Options then Settings then the
