Playing Strategy - Composition Dependent Indexes

CD Indexes are indexes that depend on the exact cards in your hand. Up to 400 CD indexes can be used in a strategy: 100 each for two-card Hard Hit/Stand, three-card Hard Hit/Stand, Surrender, and Hard Double Down.

CD Table

Ø When you click on the Composition Dependent button, a new table is displayed. Use the Number spinner at the bottom to indicate the number of CD indexes you wish to generate. A different table is shown for Hit/Stand, Insurance, Double Down and Surrender. For each index, enter the dealer card, player cards and index. There can be two to three player cards separated by commas. Aces can be specified as 1 or A. Specify Tens as 10, T or X. The order of the player cards does not matter. If you specify 10, 6 it will also work for 6, 10.

Notes

Ø For each CD decision you must specify an index number. If you want a specific decision, not an index, specify -99 or 99. Thus, for Hit/Stand, 99 means Hit. For DD, 99 means Stand, For Surrender, 99 means Stand. For Insurance, 99 means No Insure.

Ø You do not need to specify all possible CD indexes for a decision. For example, if you specify an index for 10, 6 versus 10, but do not specify a CD index for 9,7 versus 10; the index from the main table is used for 9,7.

Ø On the main tables, you will see an ampersand (&) appended to the index for all decisions for which there are CD indexes.

Ø Four or more card Hit/Stand indexes will default to the indexes on the main table.
